$DUST overview
lose money, get $DUST. stake it, get USDC from every fee.
you get $DUST for losing
every loss and every bust mints $DUST to you. up to 1,000 $DUST for every $1 lost. the exact launch rate is set at launch.
- lose $30, get 29,400 $DUST at the top rate of 1,000 per $1. the house 2% comes off before that, while the line is empty.
- get dusted on a $100 bet, get 100,000 $DUST. busts pay on the full margin.
- wins mint nothing. losses do.
the rate drops as the house fills
the rate is flat while the house is small, then it falls as the house grows. past the flat zone the drop never rewinds: if the house shrinks and fills back up, that ground pays the low rate it already hit, not the old high one. back inside the flat zone, the flat rate applies again. early losers get the most.
the flat zone and the cap are set once, at launch. the page mint curve has the maths.
where $DUST comes from
supply starts at zero. at launch $DUST comes into existence two ways:
- a trader losing. a loss or a bust mints it to the trader.
- the referral bonus. 10% on top of what a referred trader mints, minted new for whoever referred them. see referrals.
what $DUST is at launch
a balance inside dust, and stake only. you can see it and you can stake it. it is not a wallet token yet.
stake it and you get USDC from every fee. see staking. at launch it cannot move to a wallet. the goal path below is how that changes.
the goal path
the path for $DUST. no figure, no date.
- farm $DUST now. every loss mints it. stake it for USDC from every fee.
- a public milestone. a milestone makes $DUST tradable.
- tradable. a house owned DUST/USDC pool, seeded from house profit and never from the cash that pays winners, plus a one time $DUST mint for the other side of the pool. $DUST from before the milestone unlocks gradually.
- buyback and burn. from then on a fixed share of house profit buys $DUST back and burns it, forever.
the milestone and the numbers are not set. it needs a reviewed program upgrade before it ships, and none of it is in the launch program.
on the devnet beta
you farm $DUST with test money. it does not carry over to mainnet.
