orders

take profit, stop loss and limit orders work on regular bets. DUST MODE rounds have none.

all three run on the same signed price ticks as everything else. keepers watch the ticks and fire your order, so you can close the tab.

take profit

a take profit closes your bet when a price tick crosses it, at exactly your price. not near it, at it.

  • the take profit sits on the winning side of your entry: above it for MOON, below it for DUST.
  • you set it as a percent of margin in the slip, or drag its line on the chart.
  • a take profit that the price has already passed is refused too.
  • a take profit that wins pays the normal win fee. there is no extra fee.

stop loss

a stop loss closes your bet when a price tick crosses it, at the first price at or past your stop. you never get better than your stop, and in a fast market you can get worse.

  • the stop sits between your entry and your bust price.
  • if the price gaps through both at once, it is a bust. see liquidations.
  • a stop that the price has already passed is refused. pick a level that is still ahead of the price.
  • a stop loss that loses is a normal loss, and it mints $DUST like one.

changing a take profit or stop loss

a change takes effect on a tick about 2 seconds later, and one change at a time can be in flight. the old level stays live until the new one takes over. that is what stops anyone from moving an order after seeing a tick. if you try a second change too soon, the app says your order is still updating. wait a few seconds and try again.

limit orders

pick a price. your margin is locked and the order rests. when a tick crosses your price, you open at exactly that price.

  • ticks before you placed it do not count. the order fills on a tick that did not exist when you placed it, never an older one.
  • time limit. pick 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour or 24 hours. the program allows anything from 5 seconds to 24 hours. an order that never fills expires and your margin comes back.
  • cancel. a cancel takes effect on a tick about 2 seconds later, so nobody cancels against a price they already saw. the order can still fill until then. after the cancel, the margin comes back.
  • no better fill. if the price jumps past your limit, you still get exactly your limit. the jump past it stays with the house.
  • a limit across the market. it fills on the next tick while the price is inside its bust, and otherwise it waits.
  • slots. a resting order takes one of your 5 slots.

fees and bots

take profit and stop loss cost nothing extra. if a bot fires yours, it gets 0.1% of your margin (minimum $0.01) out of what comes back to you, the same size as the bust bounty. fire it yourself and you pay nothing.

hotkeys

P cycles the take profit for your next bet, X the stop loss, O turns limit mode on.
